Job Summary

The Graduate Assistant for Student Conduct supports FGCU’s Strategic Plan, Innovating for Student Success, by assisting with the administration of the Student Conduct. The position aligns with CAS Standards for Student Conduct Programs and provides hands-on experience in student conduct administration, student education, assessment, and higher education leadership.

Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with case management, documentation, and file maintenance using Maxient and related databases.
  • Meet with students referred to Student Conduct to provide guidance through the conduct and sanction process.
  • Support implementation of adjudication, including preparing charge and decision letters and verifying sanction completion.
  • Schedule and coordinate pre-hearing meetings and hearings for the Hearing Officer, Student Conduct, Student Conduct/ Title IX, and Academic Integrity Committees.
  • Assist with recruitment, training, and support of Student Conduct Committee members.
  • Maintain accurate records, databases, and statistical information, collaborating with Housing and campus partners as needed.
  • Produce monthly, mid-year, and annual reports related to student conduct trends and case outcomes.
  • Assist with benchmarking research and short- and long-term assessment projects.
  • Support outreach, workshops, and educational initiatives related to the Student Code of Conduct and Academic Integrity.
  • Assist with admissions conduct and discipline clearance reviews in consultation with the Assistant Director of Student Conduct.
  • Maintain and update departmental website and marketing materials.
  • Assist with general office operations, Dean of Students initiatives, special projects, and other duties as assigned.
  • Attend bi-weekly unit meetings and maintain in-person office hours, working up to 20 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be a currently enrolled graduate student at Florida Gulf Coast University in good academic and disciplinary standing.
  • Availability to work in person for up to 20 hours per week and attend required meetings and trainings.

Preferred Qualifications
