Job Description
Postdoctoral Researcher – Florida Gulf Coast University, Fort Myers, FL
Research will focus on lysimeter experiments, field hydrology, nutrient and water-quality monitoring, and integration of field observations with watershed and machine learning analyses. Field activities will primarily occur in Immokalee, Florida.
Applicants should have a strong background in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geoscience, Environmental Science, Soil Science, Scientific Computing, Data Science, or a related field. Strong quantitative, programming, or scientific communication skills are desirable. Postdoctoral applicants must have a PhD by the start of the appointment.
The successful candidate will work as part of an interdisciplinary team across FGCU, UF, and FSU and will have opportunities to conduct field and computational research, publish in peer-reviewed journals, present findings at national conferences, supervise undergraduate and graduate students, and engage in multiple career development opportunities

Postdoctoral Researcher – University of Florida/IFAS Southwest Florida Research and Education Center, Immokalee, FL
- Research will focus on field experiments, soil and crop monitoring, UAV/hyperspectral remote sensing, data analysis, and development of AI-enabled agricultural decision-support tools.
PhD Research Assistant – Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL
- Research will focus on watershed modeling, uncertainty and scenario analysis, and machine learning modeling to evaluate the effects of agricultural nutrient reduction on downstream water quality and harmful algal bloom risk. The home department will be either the Department of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Science or the Department of Scientific Computing
